Pain Management
3D Postural, Spine & Scoliosis Rehabilitation
A state of a curved spine (Scoliosis) is more complex than bending in a plane, but is a "twisting and turning in 3 dimensions" (3D Rotation). Treatment that is right at the point must therefore rely on an understanding of biomechanics (Biomechanics) and on technology deeper than massage or stretching in general
The treatment at PYONG Rehabilitation Group
PYONG Rehabilitation Group emphasises an approach to treatment with specialised medical techniques, combined with innovation and technology at a high level, in order to push for a result of treatment that is effective and sustainable
- Treatment at the origin (Root-Cause Approach): the clinic gives importance to analysing the type of the curved spine (Body Block Type) in detail before beginning the process of treatment always
- The integration of technology and specific training (Technology & Specific Training): it is a medical establishment that brings advanced technology, such as machines stimulating the muscles with electromagnetic waves and with electrical current, to be applied together with the training of postures of exercise in order to adjust the structure of the spine
- Care of health as a whole (Multidisciplinary Holistic Care): care covering both the dimension of the body and of the mind, under the cooperation of a team of physicians, physiotherapists, dietitians, and psychologists
Expert Care Team
- Physiatrist: a physician of rehabilitation medicine, assessing the severity and diagnosing through MSK Ultrasound
- Sports Physiotherapist: a physiotherapist of the sports line, analysing the movement and managing the pain with advanced procedures
The steps and the process of deep treatment
Step 1: Precision Assessment
Before beginning the treatment, we give importance to the most accurate diagnosis (Gold Standard):
- Moti Physio & AI Analysis: scanning the alignment of the body and measuring the degree of the rotation of the trunk (ATR) with an infrared system
- X-Ray Whole Spine: analysing a radiographic image of the whole body in order to confirm the type and the degree of the curvature
- Leg Length Assessment: checking the length of the legs in order to distinguish a "state of false curved spine" and put it right from the foundation with an insole (Insole)
Step 2: Advanced Release
In patients with a state of a curved spine, the problem of the tightness of the fascia and the muscles at a deep level (Deep Fascia) at the area of the line of the curve is usually found, which adheres tightly and is difficult to release with ordinary massage. If it does not receive correct releasing, it will be an important obstacle in the training of arranging the structure. The tightness of the fascia at the deep level (Deep Fascia) that obstructs the arranging of the structure must therefore be managed with technology:
- PMS (Peripheral Magnetic Stimulation): the innovation of electromagnetic waves stimulating the nervous system and the muscles, penetrating deep down to the deep muscles that the hand cannot press as far as, helping release the contraction of the muscles that pull on the spine quickly, without giving rise to pain
- QMR (Quantum Molecular Resonance): a technology of treatment at the level of the cell, helping reduce inflammation, stimulate the repair of the tissue, and restore the structure injured from the distortion of the spine gently
- High-Power Laser (HPL): high-power laser therapy, which sends the energy of light deep down in order to hasten the process of reducing pain, reduce acute inflammation, and stimulate the circulation of the blood at the area of the line of the joints of the spine
- Manual Technique & Traction: the use of specialised procedures together with pulling (Traction) in order to increase the space between the joints of the spine, returning the flexibility to the alignment of the body, ready to receive the adjusting of the balance in the following step
- Ultrasound Guide Neurofascial Release: the use of a guiding ultrasound machine (Ultrasound) in order to scan and look at the structure of the muscles and the fascia in real time, making the physician or the expert able to identify the position at which the fascia adheres or presses on a nerve accurately, and break down the point of tightness safely and as right at the point as possible
Step 3: Specific 3D Exercise
When the structure of the muscles and the fascia has been released, the step of training in order to arrange the alignment of the body and strengthen the strength of the muscles is entered, in order to adjust the structure so that it is in the correct line sustainably
- PSSE (Physiotherapy Specific Spinal Exercises / Schroth Method): specialised training of exercise for those who have a state of a curved spine, which has the following important core components (Core Components):
- 3D Self-Correction: teaching the patient to understand and be able to arrange the line of the spine by themselves in 3 dimensions (Sagittal, Frontal, and Transverse plane), in order to reduce the degree of the curvature and the twisting and turning (Derotation)
- Expansion Breathing: a specific technique of breathing, in order to force the breath to go in and expand the cavity of the lung and the ribs on the side that is pressed on (Concave side), helping the structure of the chest come back to balance
- Stabilization: when the line of the bones has been arranged correctly, there is training of strength in order to "lock" that line of the body's alignment, so that it does not go back to being curved and tilted again
- Integration into Daily Life: the applying of the correct arranging of the body's alignment to the doing of the daily routine, such as the posture of sitting, standing, and walking, for treatment that is continuous outside the clinic
- Corrective Pilates & Stabilize Exercise: the bringing of the principles of Pilates to be applied in order to adjust and put right the core of the trunk (Core Body) so that it is stable and strong
- Exclusive NMES Training: the exclusive right of PYONG Rehabilitation alone. We combine the use of electrical current stimulating the working of the muscles (Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation: NMES) while the patient is training the PSSE postures. This technology helps stimulate the muscles that are weak (the side that has been stretched out) to contract and work at full effectiveness and even more right at the point, making the muscles remember the working faster, and have the strength to support the structure quickly
The plan of treatment and the following of the result
- The frequency in coming in for the service: recommended at 2-3 sessions / week
- The length of time of the programme: continuous for 3-6 months * The following of the result (Re-assessment): an assessment of the progress is arranged systematically at intervals, through the assessment of the structure with AI, the measuring of the ATR value, and an X-Ray image according to the discretion of the physician, in order to confirm the achievement of the treatment concretely
- Starting at 3800-6800 baht/session
Note: this programme can be changed according to the recommendation of the physician, the physiotherapist, and the occupational therapist, based on the real state of the body of the one coming in for the service
