Massage

In fact massage is also one of the methods of treatment in physiotherapy. The 2 of them differ in the purpose of the person receiving the service. In overall terms, massage, whether Thai or Western, is a science that uses the methods of massaging, kneading, pressing points, and drawing along the lines, which may be done together with compresses with heat and herbs, in order to help reduce swelling, stretch and release the muscles, and stimulate the circulation of the blood, so that the blood circulates better in the muscles, relieving the tiredness of the muscles, making one feel relaxed and more comfortable after the massage. It is done in order to promote better health, and does not always have to have a matter of illness involved. However, massage is a collective word; there are still several kinds of massage that are also used in treating certain diseases, depending on which profession carries it out and in which context. For instance, the words that many people hear about massage in the context of physiotherapy may be the words physiotherapy massage, or therapeutic massage.

Physiotherapy

Whereas doing physiotherapy has a clear process of treatment, with examination, diagnosis of the symptoms, and the planning of the treatment by a doctor, particularly a rehabilitation medicine physician, who passes it on to the physiotherapist. Its purpose is to treat or relieve injuries related to the movement of the body, which may be symptoms that arise acutely or chronically, such as problems from surgery or muscles that are stiff and in spasm, so that the body comes back to being used normally. In the treatment, technology may be brought in to help, so that the body can be restored more quickly.

Although the two of them have some parts that are alike, the two of them exist for different target groups of people receiving the service, depending mainly on the level of the painful symptoms. If there is an injury and it is treated by the wrong method, or left without treatment early on, the inflammation may become greater and turn into a problem of chronic injury. Therefore, if you feel pain in an abnormal way, going only for a massage may not be enough; you should receive a diagnosis in order to receive treatment that is on target.
