When the body is ill or declines, going back to living daily life happily and meaningfully may be a difficult matter. The duties of the occupational therapist

The occupational therapist works through analysing and assessing the ability of the patient in doing the daily routine, from basic caring for oneself (swallowing, bathing, dressing) through to more complex activities (working, cooking, hobbies). After that they design a programme of training, promote, or adapt the activities and the environment so that they suit each individual patient

How is the occupational therapist important

Occupational therapy is extremely important for patients with cerebrovascular disease, children who have delayed development, older people who have a state of dementia, or those who have received an injury to the hand and the arm, so that they can come back to taking part in society and living life independently and to the fullest potential
