APNP: Advanced Pelvic Neurovascular Protocol
A male pelvic rehabilitation protocol that considers 4 systems: vascular, lymphatic, neural, and muscular. The team selects goals and interventions after an individual assessment.
1. Vascular & Lymphatic Optimization
Treatment mechanism: High-Intensity Laser Therapy is applied to stimulate microcirculation.
- Targeted Area: The groin region may be treated only when clinically indicated and appropriate for the individual's condition.
- Clinical Effect: Any symptom or circulation-related response varies; claims of detoxification or lymph-node clearance are not established outcomes.
2. Deep Tissue Magnetic Induction
Treatment mechanism: Peripheral Magnetic Stimulation uses high-intensity electromagnetic technology to activate deep neural and vascular systems.
- Global Activation: Pelvic-floor muscles are first activated globally with seated electromagnetic stimulation for 30 minutes.
- Targeted Induction: May be applied to the groin and pubic areas to support muscle activation and functional goals when indicated; it should not be presented as creating new blood vessels.
3. Myofascial Pelvic Decompression
Treatment mechanism: A clinical treatment procedure to reduce fascial and muscular tension that affects the neural and vascular systems.
- Manual Technique: Ischemic compression is applied to the lower abdomen and groin and held for 15–20 seconds to modulate pain signalling and increase blood flow to the target muscles after the pressure is released (reactive hyperaemia).
- Clinical Effect: Rebalances the muscular system and reduces tension around pelvic nerves, allowing circulation to function more freely.
4. Dynamic Neuromuscular Core-Pelvic Integration
Treatment mechanism: Advanced muscle-control training based on the relationship between neural and muscular systems.
- Synergy Training: Systematic pelvic-floor power training integrated with core-strength control.
- Functional Goal: Aims to develop coordinated muscle control for real-life use, building sustained strength and supporting long-term physical performance.
Outcomes and suitability vary. Each component should be selected according to the individual's assessment, clinical indications, and precautions.
