Profile & Qualifications
Dr. Naphat Sirinimnualkul (Dr. Ken) is a specialist in psychiatry and sleep medicine with a particular interest in sleep medicine, recognising the importance of sleep to mental health, physical health and overall wellbeing — the motivation behind his further training and academic activities in the field. Dr. Ken is especially interested in the connection between sleep disorders and psychiatric conditions such as mood disorders, where disturbed sleep often plays a central role in both diagnosis and treatment. His long-term goal is to integrate advances in sleep medicine into psychiatric practice, so that patients achieve better treatment outcomes and the relationship between body, mind and sleep is better understood.
Dr. Ken graduated with a Doctor of Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University in 2017. He went on to receive the Diploma of the Thai Medical Council in Psychiatry in 2021, and the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Sciences (Psychiatry) from Chulalongkorn University in the same year.
He currently serves as a clinical instructor in the Department of Psychiatry and the Excellence Center for Sleep Disorders, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society.

Dr. Naphat Sirinimnualkul, or Dr. Ken, a psychiatrist specialising in sleep, has spoken about the true scope of psychiatry, the statistics on mental health problems among Thai people, and the importance of caring for mental wellbeing alongside physical health.
Dr. Ken revealed the striking statistic that around 1 in 3 Thai people experience insomnia, and that the rate rises with age. Sleep problems, he notes, commonly go hand in hand with emotional problems such as depression and anxiety.
