Rehabilitation in a new era: when technology meets expertise
Dr Kantapong Thongrong (Dr Pyong), a rehabilitation medicine specialist and Executive Chairman of PYONG Rehabilitation Group, was invited by TMA (Technology Management Association) to be a speaker at the Outstanding Technologist Awards and TechInno Forum 2025 on the topic "A Synergy of Technology & Expertise, from Muscle to Brain" on 28 October 2025 (2568 BE). The topic of this lecture, "A Synergy of Technology & Expertise, from Muscle to Brain", underlined the important role of rehabilitation medicine in dealing with the trend of an ageing society, which is becoming an important agenda for the country. The lecture by Dr Kantapong Thongrong (Dr Pyong) emphasised the fusion of advanced innovation — whether robots or modern instruments — with medical expertise, in order to transform the outcomes of patients, by exploring the application of these technologies, from the diagnosis and treatment of muscle pain through to the restoration of the nervous system and the brain, seamlessly.
